Celtics take Game 1 in comeback win over the Warriors.
During the 2022 NBA playoffs, the Golden State Warriors were unbeaten at home, and it looked like they were on their way to remaining undefeated, controlling the first three-quarters of Game 1 over the Celtics. However, things changed dramatically in the last 12 minutes of play, as Boston entered outscored the Warriors 40–16 in the fourth quarter and a 17–0 run to claim a 120–108 victory over the Celtics.
Game 1 gave fans a look at what's to come in this exciting finals series, with both teams exchanging buckets back and forth in the 4th quarter. The Celtics finish strong from the floor, shooting 50.6% (43–85) overall and 51% (21–41) from three. The Warriors finished 42.2% from behind the arc and 44.3% from the floor.

Both teams' stars came out to play in Game 1, with Stephen Curry leading all scorers, starting hot with a 21-point first quarter and finishing with 34 total points, with Klay Thompson finishing with 15 points. In the end, though, the roadside was able to capture home-court advantage in Game 1 thanks to the collective efforts of Jayson Brown, Al Horford, Jayson Tatum, and Derrick White.
Jaylen Brown and Al Horford were the centers of the Celtics' comeback tonight, combing for 50 points. Horford led Boston with 26 points on a career-high 6-for-8 from three. Brown gave the Celtics momentum, finishing with a +27 in the 4th quarter with multiple threes to start their spurt, scoring 24 points on 43.5% shooting, with 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
Game 2 will remain in San Francisco at the Chase Arena on Sunday night.
