And Then There Were Four
In the Western Conference Finals, the Los Angeles Lakers are set to take on the Denver Nuggets, who beat out the Los Angeles Clippers and spoiled their chance to face the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. This is Denver’s first trip to the Conference Finals since 1985. On the East Coast, we have the Boston Celtics, who have not played in the Eastern Conference Finals nor won a Championship since 2008 when they faced the Los Angeles Lakers led by Kobe Bryant. Will we have a rematch between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics? Not if the Miami Heat have anything to say about it, the last time the Miami Heat won an NBA Championship was in 2012 and 2013. It was then led by Lebron James who no longer plays for the Lakers, Dwayne Wade who has since retired and Chris Bosh who has also retired.

Earthquake Strikes SoCal
Did you feel it? A magnitude of 4.6 earthquake rumbled its way through El Monte two miles out of Rosemead on Friday night. The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake was reported at 11:38 P.M. and was felt in areas like Brentwood, Lakewood and Marina Del Ray, According to famed Seismologist Lucy Jones, the quake was in almost the same location as the magnitude 5.9 Whittier Narrows earthquake in 1987. After an earthquake happens, there is always the question of when will the next big quake hit and how strong will it be? There is a chance that a strong earthquake will hit and cause massive destruction like Northridge Earthquake did in 1994.
