Los Angeles Lakers Say Public Championship Celebration Has to Wait Due to COVID-19 Pandemic
Though the Lakers won their 17th NBA championship game, they will not partake in any celebrations until it is “safe to do so”.
The Lakers said “After consulting with the city and the county, we all agree that a joyful and inclusive public celebration will take place as soon as it is safe to do so.In the meantime, thank you again, Lakers Nation, for your support!”
That hasn’t stopped the fans from celebrating on their own. Over 76 people have been arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department due to “violent and destructive behavior” and at least eight officers were injured.

Pandemic Ravages NYC Arts Scene
Health authorities in New York City have had great success battling back the spread of COVID-19. The economy hasn’t recovered from the virus and it has affected the entertainment industry hardest. Last year Broadway shows sold nearly 15 Million tickets, but all performances have been canceled for the rest of this year.

iPhone 12 is Now 5G
Apple confirms that the iPhone 12 will be the first to work with 5G networks. There are many new features to the phone including a new “mini” model that will include a 5.4in screen. With the higher-end pro models will not include a charger or earphones.

New Restaurant Opens in Inland Empire
A new restaurant has opened up in the Inland Empire called The Buffalo Spot. The new location opened mid-September in the Cedar Hill Plaza at 1275 W. Foothill Blvd., Suite 4, Rialto. Hours are 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
The chain — probably best known for its “World-Famous” Buffalo Fries — also has locations in Riverside, Chino Hills, and Colton. Stop by and enjoy some delicious food if you’re in the area.

A Portrait of Queen Victoria's Ex-Slave Goddaughter is Going on Display in Historic English Mansion
A portrait of an African ex-slave who became Queen Victoria’s goddaughter has been unveiled at Osborne, the seaside home of the former British monarch.
“Bonetta was the daughter of an African ruler who was orphaned and sold into slavery at the age of five according to English Heritage” says Eoin McSweeney.
The English Heritage said it plans to display more portraits next spring of other Black figures; these include Septimius Severus, Hadrian’s wall and, James Chappell.
