A Second Wave of COVID-19 Hits Europe
Several countries in Europe have reported spikes in COVID-19 cases. Many health experts and scientists believe countries that have loosened or have started loosening COVID-19 regulations may now be responsible for a second wave of the disease in Europe and possibly for the world as well. Countries, such as the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain have started to place their citizens under quarantine once again and also set stricter regulations with the hopes of preventing a deadly second wave of COVID-19.

A Black man is suing a Texas city for $1 million after he was tied to police on horseback during an arrest
A Black man named Donald Neely was arrested on Aug. 2019 in Galveston, Texas for trespassing. He was handcuffed and tied to a rope while the police officer rode on horseback. Now Neely is filing a lawsuit against Galveston for $1million because of the mistreatment that he suffered from the two police officers. According to Neely, he felt “embarrassment, humiliation, and fear.” Galveston Police Department's Police Chief Vernon L. Hale has issued an apology for how the situation was handled by these officers. Neely is currently awaiting for his trial.

Trump appears to threaten aliens with “military the likes of which we've never had before.”
Last year The Pentagon officially released three short videos where an “unidentified moving object” is seen being tracked by military pilots. A few days ago, the media asked Donald Trump if he knew anything about a military task force set up to examine these unidentified moving objects however, he neither confirmed nor denied the existence of such task force.
Trump quickly mentioned the government “has created a military the likes of which we've never had before, in terms of equipment. The equipment that we have, the weapons that we have, and hopefully — hope to god we never have to use them.”
So even though Trump didn’t officially confirm the allegations of a task force against aliens, he gave hints that the military is preparing for any possible threat that could not be of this world, if it ever occurs.

NYC slaps COVID rule breakers with $150,000 in fines
Because of the recent tightening in COVID-19 regulations all across the United States, many cities have established fines for any person or institution that violates them. Over this past weekend, city officials gave out a total of 62 fines totaling around $150,000, including to five religious institutions. All of these fines took place in Brooklyn and Queens, which are considered COVID-19 hotspots in New York City.

Fans' celebration of Lakers' title turns ugly
Last night the Los Angeles Lakers won their 17th NBA Championship Title against the Miami Heat. Hundreds of Lakers’ fans gathered in the Staples Center to celebrate the win. Some fans set off illegal fireworks in L.A. streets and some did donuts in their cars. The celebration soon turned into confrontations between fans, which resulted in law enforcement shooting non-lethal projectiles into the crowds in order to disperse them.
