Rihanna is confirmed to perform at Super Bowl 57, bringing her out of a long awaited return to music.

In a single tweet by the pop star herself, where she is holding a football in one tattooed hand, she shares that she will be headlining the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Multiple sources, including The National Football League (NFL), Apple Music, the NFL's new Superbowl halftime show sponsor, as well as Roc Nation, the record label that represents Rihanna, confirmed Rihanna will be making her way to the stage soon, all with the same post and caption, "Let's GO". To commemorate the announcement, the NFL has changed their bio on Twitter and Instagram to "national fenty league".

Rihanna has not released any music since her last album, "Anti" in 2016, but she is not hiding from the spotlight. She has multiple creative outlets like her cosmetic line Fenty Beauty, founded in 2017, and her lingerie line Savage x Fenty, founded in 2018. She also gave birth to her first child in May of this year with rapper ASAP Rocky.

Dr. Dre, one of the headliners of last year's Superbowl halftime show, is one of many who are looking forward to Rihanna's return to music. In an interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music 1, he said “I can’t wait to see what she’s going to do.” He then followed up with, "She has the opportunity to blow really blow us away."
