Chaffey College Club Rush bustled with student life

After an online hiatus of over two years, Club Rush was packed with students eager to join clubs in person.
Smiles were shared all around at Chaffey College's Club Rush on Aug. 31, 2022.
Classes have been online for nearly three years, forcing most clubs into hiatus as a result. With the return of in-person learning and clubs, faces of joy were abundant and welcoming on the Rancho Cucamonga campus.
Mediums such as Discord and Zoom offered opportunities for communication and remote connections for learning during the pandemic. Club Rush was offered over Zoom for the last few semesters, but Zoom could not offer the same connections as meeting in person.
According to Alejandrina Avila, Club Rush was absolutely a success. "There's something for everyone, and if you don't find something, you can make something for yourself, a lot of people have similar interests and may not even know."
When asked about how she felt about Club Rush this year, she added, "I feel like the experience is way different than [someone] sitting in a room [online] than actually physically connecting with them and feeling passionate about it... it's more real."
