NFL is Back

After having uncertainty since the beginning of the pandemic, the NFL season is finally here. There were many questions on how there could be an NFL season while running the risk of catching Covid-19, but the league figured it out. Most games for the first few weeks won’t have fans in the stands, players will be tested everyday and coaching staff besides the head coach will be required to wear a face mask.

Travis Scott Collaborates With McDonalds

On September 8th, McDonalds announced a meal called the “Cactus Jack Meal” which includes a quarter pounder with bacon and lettuce, medium Sprite and medium fries for $6. It was received with mixed reviews by people. Travis Scott fans liked it since it’s his meal while regulars weren’t impressed since it came with a regular McDonald’s bag and packaging instead of a special box or bag. Some hoped a Travis Scott Happy Meal toy would come with it, but it did not. This meal will only available until early October.

Apple Event 2020

Apple just concluded their yearly event on Sept., 15. They did not announce the anticipated iPhone 12 just yet, but they did announce new products and iOS14. Apple is releasing two new Apple Watches, the Apple Watch SE and the Apple Watch 6. The main feature of the Apple Watch 6 is that it will detect CO2 levels from other people to see if they have COVID-19. The newest update iOS 14 will release September 16th, 2020 for Apple products such as iPhones, iPads and Apple Watch. The update will be compatible with iPhones 6E and upwards.

MLB Will Have Postseason in a Bubble

On Sept., 15, it was confirmed Major League Baseball will have the postseason in a bubble. The playoffs will start later this month on Sept., 29 and during that round, the team with the higher seeds will host the Wild Card series respectively. After the NLDS will take place at Globe Life Field in Arlington,TX and Minute Maid Park in Houston,TX. The ALDS will take place at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles,CA and Petco Park in San Diego,CA. The NLCS will happen at Globe Life Field and the ALCS will take place at Petco Park. Finally, the World Series will be held at Globe Life field.

Big Ten Football Will Happen

The Big Ten football conference announced they will be playing football this fall. Previously announcing they would be suspending football because of COVID-19 concerns. They were one of the three conferences to suspend college football, along with the Pacific 12 and the Mountain West conferences. Each team is expected to play eight games in nine weeks, with one bye week. They are expedited to start play on October 19th and finish the season from there. The Pacific 12 conference is expected to resume play, but don’t have a conformed date just yet.
