ROGER GOODELL SENDS NEW MESSAGE TO COLIN KAEPERNICK (VIDEO)

On Aug. 24, National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell made headlines for trending on Twitter saying, “the league should have listened to Colin Kaepernick”.

During an interview on Emmanuel Acho’s, Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man series, Goodell stated “I wish we had listened earlier, Kaep, to what you were kneeling about and what you were trying to do”.

Kaepernick made national news headlines by becoming the first African American athlete to kneel during the National Anthem at every game throughout the entire 2015-2016 season in response to his stance on racism, and police brutality. After him, other African American players started to follow his lead. Since then Kaepernick hasn’t been seen or heard from in the NFL. There were talks of him making a comeback after both the Seattle Seahawks and Baltimore Ravens expressed interest in 2017, but he remained unsigned. In 2018, he was invited to workout with the Seattle Seahawks but, was not signed.
