Invasive Species of Giant Lizard Raids the American Southeast

The southeast part of the United States has encountered an invasive species of giant lizard that has placed the native wildlife in danger. The Argentine black and white tegu, as described by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, comes from South America and has an appetite for eggs, insects, fruits, and vegetables. This species of lizard can grow up to a length of four feet and can weigh over ten pounds. The cause behind the tegu lizards’ invasion upon the southeastern environment has yet to be revealed, but seeing how some states allow individuals to keep them as pets, it is likely that a domesticated lizard was set free ― either intentionally or unintentionally ― into the wild.

Mario Lopez Becomes KFC’s Colonel

Premiering on the Lifetime channel on Dec. 13 will be a… peculiar collaboration between Lifetime and fast-food franchise KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken). This collaboration, in particular, is “A Recipe for Seduction”, a short film intended to satirize the style and troupes of the channel’s soap thrillers. The catch to this, however, is that it will star Mario Lopez as KFC’s famed mascot, Colonel Harland Sanders. The concept behind “A Recipe for Seduction” was under development over eighteen months ago, according to Ad Age, but production for the short film was held last Oct. ― along with safety regulations in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
