Indonesia is in Recession For The First Time in 22 Years
Indonesia has been one of the top countries most affected by SARS-CoV-2. Due to the lack of tourism income, Jakarta and Bali are the hotspots that have been absent of tourists. During the summer, travelers are in search of clearwater beaches and exotic Hindu temples to explore. Since Jakarta has been in recent semi-shutdowns because of recent wakes in COVID-19 cases, this leaves the beautiful city closed to foreigners and enforcing precautions. Indonesia's 1998 history is repeating itself as a 5.32% fall in the economy has resulted in a recession. Authorities have predicted that 3.5 million people may be losing their jobs due to the financial crisis.

Proposition 15 to Loosen California's Business Property Tax
Proposition 15 determines the taxes based on current market value rather than the price of purchase which increases business property taxes. These taxes are used to fund government institutions such as local schools. Approximately a $6 to $11 billion net is able to be raised as 60% would profit cities and districts meanwhile the remaining 40% would be going to schools and community colleges. Supporters argue that by passing Prop 15, it would boost public services. Most oppositions come from large state business owners along with anti-tax groups predicting that a recession could result. More than 11 million votes have been counted as of Wednesday, Nov. 4 with 48.3% voting “yes” and 51.7% voting no.

Trump Campaign Sues Over Ballot Counting in Three States
As tensions arise on who will become our new United States president, President Donald Trump is not too happy with the possible outcome. As of Wednesday, former Vice President Joe Biden has been shy of six electoral votes opposed to Trump being fifty six electoral votes away. The Trump campaign has taken legal action to prevent Biden from reaching the 270 electoral votes needed to win the election. The lawsuits have been filed against Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia. Trump's campaign is requesting access to vote-counting sites in these three states to recount each ballot although both Democratic and Republican poll watchers are doing just that. Trump has since falsely claimed victory of the election while millions of votes have still not been counted. The campaign has also requested a recount in Wisconsin as it is the most recent state to claim Biden as the winner.
