The Damian Lillard era in Portland is now over, as the star point guard finally gets the trade he desired.

Lillard is headed to Milwaukee in a stunning three-team trade that included the Phoenix Suns.

The three-team trade occurred on Sept. 27 with Phoenix receiving Jusuf Nurkic, Grayson Allen, Keon Johnson and Nassir Little.

Portland received Jrue Holiday, Toumani Camara, Deandre Ayton and three draft picks from Milwaukee.

The Bucks will look to bounce back after a disappointing exit last postseason and Lillard will certainly be able to help offensively, as he averaged 32 points per game last season. Lillard will also get the chance to team up with Giannis, a player he has had a desire to play with in the past

The addition of Lillard means not only getting a superstar player but keeping your franchise player happy. Giannis Antetokounmpo stated in an interview with Tania Ganguli "I would not be the best version of myself if I don't know that everybody's on the same page, everybody's going for a championship, everybody's going to sacrifice time away from their family like I do. And if I don't feel that, I'm not signing."

Trading for Lillard has shown that the Bucks are all in on this current core as they just, days prior, offered Antetokounmpo a three-year extension.

With the addition of Lillard, the Milwaukee Bucks have displayed a strong desire to win. He might just be the missing key for a team trying to win a second championship in four years.
