In conjunction with California Humanities, The Dead End Podcast is a four-part mini-series about the marginalization of homeless people in the Inland Empire, and how difficult it is for them to find the help they are deprived of.

Have you ever considered the daily struggles of a homeless person? The fight they might encounter for resources and to receive the necessary help in order to survive? In The Dead End Podcast, we decided to utilize the platform given to ask the age-long question, “Why are there numerous obstacles for homeless people to obtain resources in our local communities?”

The purpose of our project goal is to highlight the difficulties of getting resources for homeless people located in the Inland Empire. Through extensive research into options provided by our local cities, our findings were, unfortunately, next to nothing and rather disappointing.

This led us to wonder: How difficult is it really to find these resources, do they even exist, and if so, do they lead to a sustainable solution? Are they useful?

As a team, we took plenty of different approaches to gathering information and data such as visiting recommended solutions provided by neighboring cities. Again, we were left wondering, “Why is it so difficult for homeless people to obtain resources in our local communities?”
