Inland Empire Students Pose With Swastika and Confederate Flag

A photograph of a group of Riverside high school students surfaced with students posing in front of a Nazi symbol, Trump banner and Confederate flag. The post began circulating on social media last week and has prompted backlash from students and parents.

The photo shows Martin Luther King High School students. One of the students is holding a representation of a swastika. Others flash "white power" hand gestures and some smile at the camera. Disciplinary actions have not yet been made public by the school district but numerous tweets have made it clear that racist remarks have surfaced at the school in the past. Parents and students await action from King High authorities and police. Currently, the investigation is ongoing.

Coronavirus: China Rounds Up Hundreds To Prevent Outbreak

According to the state-run broadcast on Thursday, top officials in Beijing expanded their mass roundup of sick or possibly infected people beyond Wuhan, the city at the center of the coronavirus outbreak, to include other cities in Hubei Province that have been hit hard by the crisis.

The orders to begin mass quarantines came down from the government to “round up everyone who should be rounded up,” part of a campaign to contain the coronavirus outbreak. Patients have been put in large quarantine spaces. While, close contacts of confirmed cases and patients with a fever who could have been infected were also put in separate facilities.

But the state-led effort has been plagued by chaos and disorganization, deepening anxiety and frustration in a city already on edge from a prolonged lockdown.
