Sharing moments with funny, relatable characters brings the best out of me, and I would hope for everyone as well. Getting to know the personalities of many famous icons influence my choices and helps me distinguish who I want to be in this world. With introducing some characters, I hope you love and relate to them as I have within my life.

Characters like Rory Gilmore, Elle Woods and Aaron Hotchner have influenced my career path.

RORY GILMORE

Within the show “Gilmore Girls,” Rory’s character is so different from her family. Her goals and aspirations are aimed higher as she focuses on her priorities on being a successful young woman instead of letting the hardships of life take her down.

The reason Rory has influenced my career path is not because she is an aspiring journalist, eye-catching or her crazy smarts. It is because of her family oriented drive.

The way she prioritizes her family encourages me to put family first above all. Families may disagree or have many similar opinions, but sticking to the fact that family, or those who are as close as family, will encourage you to be the best you can be, is what drives me for my entire future.

ELLE WOODS

The whimsical, fun and spitzy comedic break that Elle Woods offers in “Legally Blonde” is what, I believe, we all need when making big decisions. The movie opens with how a heartbreak and a plan to get her ideal ex boyfriend back, pushes her to study and get accepted to Harvard Law School.

Elle shocked and surprised her peers. The energy and optimism she brought to the table made her an incredible icon. She was herself and yes, there were plenty of barricades to look over, but she never stopped being true and honest about who she was.

Optimism, determination, compassion for others and drive is what made Elle another influential character in my life.

AARON HOTCHNER (HOTCH)

Aaron Hotchner, or Hotch, is known for his strong leadership skills, dedication to his team and his ability to remain composed and analytical under high-pressure situations.

The rational approach to life is how the trustworthy and dependable Hotch is known to be. As a Unit Chief, the seriousness and being humorless is what makes Hotch’s personality the best in the show, “Criminal Minds.”

Aaron Hotchner has had a substantial impact on viewers interested in law enforcement, criminal psychology, leadership and related fields. His portrayal of a dedicated, composed and principled leader has inspired many individuals to pursue futures of influence. He has pushed others, like me, on a journey that involves justice for victims.

In essence, finding relatability in fictional characters should be about drawing inspiration and insight from their experiences, rather than trying to carbon copy their actions. It's a dynamic process where you blend their qualities with your own, allowing for personal growth, unique decision-making and an enriched understanding of both yourself and the world.

Within this journey called life, expanding your experiences and opportunities makes life worthwhile. However, taking what you learn from these characters and pursuing it can open future opportunities. The life paths of these characters that I have followed make me proud of who I am. I also hope the same goes for everyone.
