“Letter to Old Friend,” is inspired by a YouTube channel called “Letters Live,” where actors read out letters written throughout history.
The author started writing letters to a friend, who is both their oldest friend age-wise and oldest friend time-wise, hence the name ,“Letter to Old Friend.”
It is a way for Heinrich to explain their feelings about life, their frustrations, and anything else they deemed important enough to write to their friend about.
Over time, it has become a way for Heinrich to flesh out the sometimes overwhelming thoughts that cloud their mind every now and then. These letters are anonymous and yet specific.
If you want to find Heinrich, you can. If you couldn’t care less about who they are and simply enjoy their rants, they understand. Either way, the author wants to thank you for sparing a thought for them.
