Lakers beat the Pacers in overtime, thanks to LeBron’s heroics.

The Lakers beat the Indiana Pacers 124–116 in overtime, thanks to a clutch performance by LeBron James, who scored eight points in overtime to help the Lakers get back to.500 at 10–10.

With 22.6 seconds to go in regulation, the Lakers pushed their lead to three after a couple of clutch free-throws from Russell Westbrook when Pacers Chris Duarte hit a corner three over Avery Bradley to send the game into overtime.

LeBron James single-handedly pushed the Lakers past the Pacers with his overtime performance, hitting back-to-back clutch threes that propelled the Lakers win, scoring 8 points in overtime.

After shooting under 40% in Monday’s loss to the Knicks, the Lakers bounced back in tonight’s winning effort, shooting 40.5% (15–37) from three and 44% (42–95) overall from the floor.

After serving his one-game suspension for the incident in Detroit, LeBron James described it as “frustration” and being “eager” to get back on the floor after the suspension helped motivate him tonight.

In 43 minutes played in tonight’s overtime game, James scored his season-high 39 points on 13 for 29 (45%) shooting overall from the floor and 5 for 12 (42%) from three. James also added 6 assists and 5 rebounds in his effort in tonight’s win, with head coach Frank Vogel calling his outing: “Performance for the ages.”

Russell Westbrook continued his solid efforts with a strong outing of 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists in tonight’s win, ending the night with a +14.

In tonight's win over the Pacers, Malik Monk was another solid performer, finishing the night 3rd on the Lakers in scoring with 17 points on 6 of 11 shooting from the floor. Monk added 8 rebounds in his outing as he finished with a +15 for the Lakers.

Wayne Ellington finished with the highest plus/minus for the Lakers, finishing 14 points on 4 for 6 shooting from beyond the arc, with a couple of his threes coming in the 4th quarter.

The Lakers will travel back home on Friday for the start of a two-game home stint to face the 6–10 Sacramento Kings. Anthony Davis should be listed as questionable for Friday’s matchup, but look for Davis to return from flu-like symptoms (Not Covid) against the Kings.
