This season of The Bachelor received mixed emotions, but in the last episode Chris Harrison asked Peter what his final decision was.
In season 24, Peter Weber, a.k.a Pilot Pete, had girls lined up to fly away with him. Thirty contestants made their entrance that night, but by night one eight were eliminated with Hannah Ann getting the first impression rose. This season stirred up reaction from bachelor nation - from champagne bottles being stolen to Victoria F. being an unlikeable rollercoaster of emotions.
As the season went on, the drama intensified when Hannah Brown, former Bachelorette, arrived during a group date. The contestants from Peter's season made sure to let everyone, including Hannah Brown, know how they felt by her intrusion. However, Brown was not the only girl who got a second chance to rekindle their relationship. Alayah B. also made a shocking visit when she came back shortly after being sent home. According to her fellow contestants, Alayah lacked authenticity and did not believe she was on the show for the right reasons - to find true love. Although Peter brought her back for one night, he quickly regretted his decision and sent her and her pageant voice home during the rose ceremony the next day.
So, who received the final rose?
Hannah Ann, but she did not have the engagement she was dreaming of because she was unaware that the other contestant, Maddie Prewet, left before Peter could make his final decision. Maddie left due to the issues that came about during the fantasy suite episode when she confided in Peter telling him she felt conflicted getting engaged to a man who slept with the other two contestants just days before. Maddie also did not have a stable relationship with Peter’s mother, Barbra Weber. Infamous for telling Maddie she was not good enough for her son, Barbra Weber also conveyed herself as a hypocrite because she initially adored Maddie.
Did the bachelor nation feel like their time was wasted?
An overwhelming YES! In the finale, the audience thought they were going to find out which woman received an engagement ring from Peter, only to find out Peter and Maddie were going to figure everything out while dating.
Their relationship only lasted a few weeks until they called it off. So to say the least, pilot Pete had some turbulence during this latest season.
