During President Trump’s first week in office, 37 Executive Orders (EO) were put forward, with eight relating to immigration. Others pertain to things like climate change, health and the environment. His aggressive stance on many different topics has led to more protests scheduled to happen later this week.
Feb. 3, 2025, Monday, is “A Day Without Immigrants,” where citizens are declining to go to work or school, as well as declining to purchase anything. It is a way of boycotting the economy and to show the impact immigrants have on it.
This is a nationwide initiative with businesses and schools participating standing in solidarity with those who are being affected immediately by the EO’s.
