The Blue Cut Fire, as it has come to be called, has spread to 30,000 acres. Gov. Jerry Brown has issued a state of emergency while mandatory evacuations for surrounding communities, including Lytle Creek Canyon, are in effect. Road closures include the 15 Northbound at I-215, and the 15 Southbound at Ranchero.

All three Chaffey College classes will continue as normal. Chaffey College faculty has been asked not to drop any students who arrive late coming from the 15 Freeway. Students who can’t make it to class because of the fire are to email their instructors. To find out your instructors email, visit http://www.chaffey.edu/contacts/index.php.
