Lakers snap 8-game skid in win over the Thunder.

The Lakers snap an 8-game losing streak in tonight's collective win over the Thunder without critical contributors for the second straight game, dropping Oklahoma City 120–101 to put their season record to 32–49, finishing their record at home above .500 at 21–20.

"In the summer, we should all remember this," Stanley Johnson said, "And if we don't like it, we should do something about it. It hurts"

From going through multiple ten-day contracts to finally being cemented on the Lakers roster, LA native Stanley Johnson gave his home city an impressive outing in the final home game of the season, scoring a team-high 21 points on 50% (8-for-16) shooting overall, adding 8 rebounds in his 31 minutes of action tonight.

After his performance tonight and consistent energy throughout the season, Frank Vogel said Stanley Johnson "made a case for himself" to be back with the Lakers, ultimately being the team's decision with a team option on his contract.

"Hopefully, I've played well enough that they would take me back," Johnson said.

It was reported earlier today by the great Shams that the Lakers signed Wenyen Gabriel to a standard NBA contract, who was on a two-way contract throughout the season for the Lakers.

Gabriel finished with 16 points in 24 minutes off the bench for the Lakers, shooting 86% on 6-of-7 overall from the floor while adding 7 rebounds and 2 blocks in his outing.

South Bay Lakers' Mason Jones got the opportunity for some significant playing time to showcase what he could bring in the future for the Lakers, finishing the night with a perfect 4-for-4 from the floor, scoring 13 points in 18 minutes off the bench for the Lakers.

"I was very excited for this opportunity," Jones said. "Coach Vogel came up to me in the pregame and told me I was going to play, and my eyes lit up."

The Lakers will travel to play the Nuggets on Sunday for their last game of the season. Tip-off is slated for 6:30 p.m. PT and televised on Spectrum SportsNet and NBA TV.
